There are reports that the city of Maiduguri is currently under intense attack by the insurgents who are sending strong signals they are still very much around.

Three wives of a village head and their ten children were reportedly blown-up by a female suicide bomber who attacked their home in Maiduguri on Sunday, December 27.

Reports from Maiduguri say that Nigerian troops are in battle with Boko Haram fighters, today December 28.

Lai Mohammed had earlier stated that the Nigeria army has met the deadline on Boko Haram and has “technically” defeated the insurgents.

With the recent attacks on Maiduguri, Nigerians have blasted the minister, saying he technically re-awakened the terrorists.
